About sovraVox

sovraVox is a mobile-first civic video platform and part of the sovraSpace family. By using sovraVox, you agree to these terms. sovraVox shares its user database with sovraSpace — accounts created on either platform work on both.

Eligibility

1.
Age requirementYou must be at least 13 years old to use sovraVox.
2.
Minor accountsUsers ages 13-17 are classified as minor accounts and require a parent/guardian to link their account within 72 hours of sign-up.
3.
Accurate informationYou must provide accurate information during sign-up, including your date of birth and congressional district.

Content Guidelines

1.
Civic focussovraVox is a civic platform. Content must relate to legislation, governance, civic engagement, or community issues.
2.
Prohibited contentHate speech, harassment, threats, spam, misinformation, and content that violates any law are strictly prohibited.
3.
AI transparencyAI-generated content is labeled as such. Official summaries from Congress.gov are marked with an OFFICIAL badge.

Screen Time & Digital Wellness

1.
Mandatory limitsEvery account has daily time limits for Vox, Posts, and Bills sections. These limits cannot be disabled — only adjusted within a maximum of 5 hours per section.
2.
Default limitsAdult accounts default to 3 hours per section. Minor accounts (ages 13-17) default to 1.5 hours for Vox and Posts, and 4 hours for Bills & Legislation.
3.
Timeout enforcementWhen you reach your daily limit for a section, access is paused until the next day.
4.
No exceptionsThe 5-hour maximum per section is a hard limit that cannot be overridden by any user, including parents.

Parental Controls & Minor Accounts

1.
Parent linkingMinor accounts receive a unique parent code during sign-up. A parent or guardian must create their own account and enter this code to link and monitor the minor's account.
2.
Parent visibilityLinked parents can see: their child's posts, follow activity, message metadata, reactions, and screen time usage. Parents cannot read direct message content.
3.
Reduced limits for minorsMinor accounts have lower default screen time limits (1.5 hours for Vox/Posts, 4 hours for Bills). Parents may increase these up to the 5-hour maximum.

Intellectual Property

1.
Your contentYou retain ownership of content you create and upload to sovraVox. By posting, you grant sovraVox a non-exclusive license to display, distribute, and promote your content on the platform.
2.
Our platformsovraVox, its design, features, and branding are owned by sovraSpace. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our platform without permission.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through Settings.
